At Prima Graphics, you can bet that we know how to wrap a car, truck or any other vehicle. We’ve talked a lot about why car wraps are one of the most effective tools for localized advertising, but you might be wondering how we do it. When you want a branded fleet you can be proud of, car wrap technique matters. Here’s a breakdown of our 5-step car wrap process:

    1. Graphic Design
It all starts with creating a design that suits your brand and vehicle. Our talented team of graphic designers will work with you to customize your wrap, keeping an eye out for potential problem areas throughout the design process. You have the freedom to choose what type of vehicle graphics fit your brand best, whether it’s a lead-generating wrap with information and your company phone number or a more minimalistic wrap. Our design team is experienced in designing a wide variety of different car wrap designs.
    2. Printing & Production
The finalized design will be applied onto large vinyl wrap films with state-of-the-art print quality. The type of vinyl matters here – cast vinyl tends to last a lot longer than calendered vinyl. To ensure your wrap is vibrant and long-lasting, Prima Graphics exclusively uses high quality Avery Dennison and 3M vinyl vehicle wraps. This massive sticker is then laminated with the client’s coating of choice (gloss, satin, or matte) to protect and seal the printed graphics.

    3. Vehicle Prep & Cleaning
When you bring your vehicle into our installation shop in Delta, BC, we’ll make sure that it’s ready for wrapping. This means cleaning every crevice and surface to get rid of any debris, wax, or contaminants on the paint and wiping it with tack cloth to remove any remaining dust. This will ensure that the original paint is primed for adhesion to the wrap.
    4. Wrap Application
Now is the time to apply the vinyl wrap to your car. All of our wrapping services use meticulous detail to ensure that your custom vehicle wrap looks flawless. Once the wrap panel is applied to the vehicle, the wrap installer uses a squeegee-like tool to adhere the vinyl film to the paint and eliminate any bubbles. A heat gun is used throughout the process for challenging areas and again at the end to create a permanent bond (called “post-heating”). While custom paint jobs can take days to complete, a wrap can typically be applied in a matter of hours.
    5. Post-Wrap Detail and Clean
To make sure your freshly wrapped vehicle is ready for the road, our wrap experts will do a thorough examination of the finished product. Once all the final details are touched up, your vehicle will be given a wrap-friendly wash to give it that extra glow before it hits the road.
